Bite Beauty’s Nearly Neon Collection Is Surprisingly Wearable

I don’t like color. A look in my closet would show a collection of grey, white, and black with a little bit of olive green mixed in. The neutral trend continues throughout my makeup bag. When I find something I like, I stick to it. That mostly means gold and brown eyeshadows and the biggest collection of nude lippies you’ve ever seen.

Needless to say, when Bite Beauty’s Nearly Neon Collection was sent to my door, I didn’t know what to do with it. The colors are absolutely amazing, but I have no idea on what occasion I would wear blue lipstick. I’ve been there, done that with the boyfriend chooses my lipstick post, and I did not want to go back.

That all changed after I opened this packaging and swatched the shades. In about three seconds I went from allergic to color to wanting to paint my entire body in neon lipsticks. If that sounds dramatic, it’s because it is. That is how much I love these lipsticks.

If you’re not familiar with Bite Beauty, let me give you the quick rundown. The brand uses all-natural ingredients, is known for their Amuse Bouche Lipsticks, and is only sold at Sephora. The products are so fresh that they actually started melting as I was shooting these photos. That’s why you can see little water droplets on them.

Now that I’ve tried this formula, I know exactly why people are obsessed. They’re unlike any other bullet-shaped lipstick I’ve ever tried. The longer your wear these shades the prettier they get. The red shade that you see above is my favorite of the line. I’ve been getting into red lipstick lately, and this shade is a great summery option.

I didn’t believe the power of neons until I swatched these lipsticks. They’re creamy and opaque without being hard to put on. While they are transfer proof, they don’t slip or slide an they look great even when it starts to fade throughout the day. Actually, I like it better when it’s been on for about a half an hour.

The only downfall is that they’re not the most affordable lipsticks ever. Each one of the Nearly Neon shades — Orange, Pink, Blue, Peach, Purple, and Fuschia — are $26. That’s not exactly affordable, but believe me when I say that it’s worth every single penny. I will definitely be picking up more Amuse Bouche Lipsticks very soon.
