As soon as summer rolls around, I instantly think garage sales. I’m not sure if it’s a normal thing for all of you reading it, but I’ve been going [and having them myself] every summer since I can remember. I love that my mom always instilled in me that shopping secondhand is nothing to be ashamed of, which is partly what inspires my to blog.
Anyways, I’ve been at a few garage sales throughout the month, but this one was the mother-load. I had been working all day and my mom and grandma called saying that I needed to check this sale out. So I jumped in the car, we headed over to the sale, and she was completely right.
While the woman had tons of outdoor decorations and other knick-knacks, the highlight was all of the jewelry. The woman had tons of real and costume jewelry all spread out onto a long, locked-up case and bundled bags to choose from. I’m talking hundreds of pieces all for incredible prices.
My grandma was nice enough to buy me a grab-bag of earrings from the sale. The bag was $10 and for 8 pairs of earrings, which is a heck of a deal if you ask me. There’s something so exciting about getting a whole bag filled with goodies and going home to sort them all out. It’s like a mini treasure hunt!
I ended up keeping six pairs of the earring and giving the other two pairs to my cousin. I’ve really been trying to up my earring game lately, so I was really excited to get tons of quirky pairs to try out. These triple circle ones are my favorite. They’re actually the ones that caught my eye in the grab bag, when I was going through the pile.
I don’t like to brag around here, but this ring is one that I will toot my own horn on. This might just be my most favorite garage sale find ever. When I said that the woman had a ton of incredible jewelry, I wasn’t kidding. This ring is so unique. The band is made of branches, there’s leaves attaching the gem, and the stone is cut naturally. I’ve never seen anything like it before.
These lightbulb-looking earrings were also another major highlight ā pun intended ā of the garage sale. They’re vintage-looking and somewhat steampunk. I love that these aren’t the typical jewelry that you could find during ever fast-fashion brand. Although I don’t know for sure, I’m willing to bet that these were handmade.
All in all, I’d say that this garage sale was a total winner. It might just be the best one of the summer. Not only did I get to stock up on tons of fun jewelry, but I also got a really adorable wine-holding picnic basket. I’m hoping to do a post about it very soon!
Which pair of earrings do you guys like the best? I’d love to hear about any garage sale finds that you’ve gotten recently too. Let me know all about it in the comment section!

Thanks! So do I xx.
I am with you about loving garage sales! I love a good find. I also teach my kids that it’s perfectly ok to shop second hand. With our family it also allows us to spend time together which is always great. We went to a few last weekend and found some gorgeous Beatles pictures for my father in law and I only spend ten bucks on both! The jewelry you got is gorgeous too š
I love that! It really is a great way to bond! Thanks so much for your kind words xx.
Nice haul…love the ring xxx

Aren’t they neat?! I wanted to do a whole post around them, but I figured I’d just include them here haha xx.
They are so cool! š
Oh wow what great finds! I personally love things like charity and vintage shopping so maybe yard sales are the next stop xx
They definitely are! The three make for a trifecta of secondhand shopping haha xx.
Yes definitely! Im in the process of writing a guide to cheap shopping – do you have the app depop? Its AMAZING xx
I’ve heard about it, but haven’t tried yet! I’ll definitely gave to check that out when you’re done xx.
All of the earrings are so beautiful and so is the ring! I’d probably have to say my favourite pair of earrings are the hearts… so cute!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m glad you enjoy it! xx.
Really stunning finds, always love what you
manage to discover, this jewelry blows away
the cheap plastic tat you find on the high street.
These are timeless pieces, that also evoke a
sense of history & curiosity of their past lives.
It definitely does! Shopping secondhand doesn’t have to mean finding cheap items. The search is mostly worth it in the end! xx.
Yes! Fining fashions that have already
stood the test of time (& had loving owners
who cherished them) means you not only
get a piece of history but you also get to
preserve it & give it love, so when it is time
to let go, it can go to another loving home.
Thrifting is styling, conservation, & curating
all rolled into one. So much fun. Fads fade,
quality lasts a lifetime.
p.s. sorry about the spacing
I forget the lines get narrower.
The light bulb earrings are my favorite and that ring is stunning kali.
Thanks so much! Those are two of my favorites too xx.
you are welcome š
The heart earrings are so cute š xx
Thank you! I love that they’re quirky without being cheesy hearts, you know? xx.
Cute! I thought of you the other day when I saw an Ad on Facebook for a website called ThredUp. Have you heard of It? It’s a massive thrifting/second hand shopping website that looks amazing.
Thanks, Dani! I’ve used Poshmark, but not ThredUp before. I don’t care for the idea of shipping my clothing to the company. I rather do it all myself, you know? I thought of maybe starting my own thrifted Etsy page, but I’m not sure! xx.
I am in love with that ring! It is so gorgeous! xxxx
Thanks, Chloe! It’s definitely a standout piece, but I love it too! xx.
This really makes me miss going to garage sales!!
You should definitely go! There’s no better time than mid-summer! xx.
