Build Your Own All-Natural Eye Palette // Doucce Pro Palette

When it comes to finding the perfect eyeshadow palette, I do my research. I will admit, I’m a little pickier than I should be when it comes to the shadows. I need something all natural that blends well and has enough but not-too-much color pay off. Thankfully, the all-natural makeup brand Doucce put the perfect one together for me so I don’t have to.

Remember when I said in my Doucce review that I loved the shadow quad, but the colors weren’t all that practical? Well, this was the product that I’d been dreaming of, and it’s finally here — sort of. The company is coming out with a Pro Palette that features 12 snap-in eyeshadows. You’ll also be able to buy singles to replace the ones in the palette and build your own.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until April 30 to get your hands on it. They gave me one to try out a little early, and trust me when I say that you need this in your makeup bag. The colors are stunning and the pigmentation is great.

Take a moment and gawk at all this gorgeousness, go ahead. Done? Okay, let’s get to the review.

The palette comes with six matte and six shimmer shades. Although you don’t get a super high glow from the shiny shades, they’re just as pigmented as the mattes. Personally, I prefer a more matte look, so I wasn’t upset at all by the color payoff. You’ll get all 12 shades in the initial purchase, then you can buy and snap in your own.

If I had to make the perfect eye palette, this one would come close. It has all the basics, transition shades, and even a pop of color. I think I will be swapping out my matte black for a matte brown instead, but that’s just a personal preference.

You can’t really see the white shades at the top, because I’m so pale, but the others can be seen from close and far away. My personal favorites are the middle, rusty shades. All of the shades that I’ve tried out so far have lasted all day on my eye as well. I can see myself buying even more shades to snap-in too.

The only downfall to these eyeshadows are that they have quite a bit of fallout. While it doesn’t cause a huge problem in the palette [you can just blow them off], I would do your eye makeup before your face makeup when using them.

As of April 30, you’ll be able to use the palette to snap-in the blushes as well. I’m obsessed with Doucce’s blushes, so I’ll definitely be stocking up on those as well. Right now, they come in a somewhat bulky package, so it will be nice to have them all in one place with my shadows.

The company is also coming out with highlight and bronzer singles and a case for each of them as well. You’ll have to wait until later in the year for those to arrive though. Until then, there’s this gorgeous shadow palette to gawk over!

xx.
