Morphe’s 35R Palette & Best Of Eye Brushes

Once in a while a product comes around that is really great, but not all-natural. [Like the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops.] That’s when I make an exception and share it with you guys. I try only use natural, cruelty free products in my everyday life. But when Morphe sent me their 35R Palette, I couldn’t help but dive right in.

I’m a huge fan of Morphe. Although the brand now has me on their PR list [all the thanks, if you’re reading this], I’ve purchased plenty of brushes and single shadows from them myself. If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that I also love their liquid lipsticks. The 35R Palette might have been sent to me, but all opinions are my own.

This palette is their most recent launch. It’s filled with warm-toned shades in the brown and red family and rivals their infamous 35O Palette. Inside are 35 shades [hence the name] and have all the shadows you could need for a full eye look plus a little more. The left half of the palette has all mattes and the right side has shimmers. The best of both worlds!

There’s no denying that the palette is gorgeous, but the quality is just as great. These are extremely pigmented and blend out beautifully. Whether you’re a beginner or a makeup pro, this is the perfect palette for everyone. Not to mention the price. You get all 35 shades for $22.99. That’s less than a dollar an eyeshadow.

I won’t lie, when I first opened the palette up, I was a little intimidated by all the deep shades. I’m not a makeup pro [just and enthusiast], so dark shades scare me — no matter how many YouTube tutorials I watch. But once I started playing with it, I found that you can make everyday looks just as easily as smokey eyes.

See what I mean? It’s subtle, but still has a little kick to it. Since I’ve tried my hands at the warm-toned looks, I’ve been getting a lot of compliments. Like I said, I’m no pro, but having all of these shades to test and try to blend together is really fun. That’s what’s so great about this palette — you can go as subtle or bold as you’d like.

Of course, the look would be nothing without some great brushes. Morphe’s brushes are my all-time favorite. There are so many options and they hold up through every single wash. While my other brushes are shedding bristles, these are standing their ground.

My favorites are the M573 and M576 for blending, M578 for crease work, M574 for smoking out the lower lash line, and M432 for liner.

Considering you get double the amount of eyeshadows for half the price of other brand’s palettes, I’d say that this is definitely worth the buy. The palette has it all, from matte whites and browns to shimmery browns and creams. Basically, everything you could possibly need [besides bright pops of colors] for an eye look.

The best part is that no matter what season it is, there’s something in this palette. The basics never go out of style. Whether this Do you have any other staple eyeshadows palettes? Leave your recommendations in the comments, so I can try them out too!

xx.
